2022 SUMMER CAMPS

Art, Music, Dance, Martial Arts- Let's go! Reserve your space now in one of VivaArts dynamic summer camps.

Cost: $425 per camper, $100 non-refundable deposit will be required to secure your child's spot.  Remaining payment will be billed to you and is due one month prior to camp.

JULY 11 - 15

DANCEPOWERED

SUPERHEROES CAMP 

Ages 5 - 11

Students will discover and reveal their alter-ego superhero through journal prompts, complete with name, superpowers, their villain counterpart and a signature dance move to match!
 

They will also learn a short and simple dance routine rehearsed daily, along with movement games and more, finally showing off their super skills in an end-of-camp performance for parents!

 

Campers will spend the week:

 

  • Learning simple dance routine

  • Designing their own custom cape to take home

  • ​Campers work throughout the week creating a performance that they will present at the final day of camp for friends and family (with a recorded version to watch at home).

 

Camp led by DancePowered instructor Jennifer Cepeda.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm

​

Campers: Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting messy. Bring a water bottle and lunch/snack., We do all the rest!

JULY 18 - 22

CAPOEIRA WARRIOR CAMP

Ages 5 - 11

At VivaArts Capoeira Warrior camp campers will spend the day learning Capoeira and Maculelê movements, playing camp games, and designing their own take home warrior art + music project.

 

Campers will spend the week:

​

  • Learning the story of two historical Brazilian warriors

  • Learning Capoeira and Maculelê (dance with sticks) Movements / Choreography

  • Playing Capoeira instruments and learning songs

  • Learning some Portuguese

  • Playing Capoeira based games that accentuate team building, leadership, and cooperation

  • ​Design and paint Maculelê sticks and a small wood conga drum to take home

  • ​Campers work throughout the week creating a performance that they will present at the final day of camp for friends and family (with a recorded version to watch at home).

 

Camp led by Instrutora Agua-viva of Grupo Candeias Seattle under the supervision of Contrametre Fenix.
